Netflix Talk

Netflex helps the consumer decide what show they are looking for. Wither it be a movie or just a TV show. Netflix can help the person find what ever they are looking for.

When a person is trying to find a show to watch they have an issue trying to find it. There are many different sites that can be used to find their shows but netflix maybe the most reliable for the issue due to the fact that they have such a large variety of shows for a lower price than most places.

Once the consumer has looked at all the alternatives they have found they then must choose what would be the best prices for them. They should look at prices and policy terms. They should look at to make sure and even email the site to make sure they offer what they are looking for. The last thing they want is to be stuck in a contract with a site that doesn't have what they want. This would be a waste of money and time. They would also want to make sure that they have the correct Internet speed to run the videos. Slower Internet would mean a slower play back or even skipping during the showing.

If they do decide to choose Netflix they will then have to agree to the monthly charges that Netflix has set in place. The consumer would also be agreeing to the Terms and conditions of Netflix, so they should make sure they fully understand and DO agree with them.

Once they get settled into their contract the consumer could go to several websites or even Netflix itself and leave ratings on how well it streams the shows. This could possibly make a difference in the future for others as they are trying to decide which Web site they should choose for their video entertainment.

Internet Market research

P&G used the fact that people was coming to their site and looking at the products to help them focus on who was coming to their site the most. This cut back on having to develop a product then sending it out to just letting people see what they had to offer. They were going back into the data files and research the demographic of people that was coming to the site and started focusing their marketing more towards those people that was visiting the site the most.

Microwave oven- I noticed that the prictures on clusty was blurry and hard to see but they seemed have more of a selection on the front page than google did.
MP3 Player-Clusty brought back more of an accurate selection to my search than google. Google brought back Ipods where clusty brought back MP3 players.
Clusty was an okey website they picture looked like they copied and pasted them to the website. The pictures was really depexled. I won't be using this shopping site.

2.Three personalization features: price range, location and make/model.
I was looking at auotmotive books and left the website then returned and saw nothing. I wouldn't purchase anybooks from Amazon.

3. Yes I do believe that this would help with getting better fitting clothes, they have the sizes in numbers and a measuring tape to find your size. the personlization feature will lead to more sales because this gives the buyer a chance to get what they want.

Another Craig list review

Craigs list is a great website if you are looking for, well anything. There are different sections for different things, from personals to jobs. People have to be careful though on what they do on Craigs list and how they use it. It can be useful but dangerous their are some weird people out there that use Craigs list for illegal reasons. There have been some murders through Criag list. People posting ads on Craigs list meeting with people and then killing them. The point that I'm trying to make is Craigs list is useful if used the correct way. Just be safe and never meet anyone by yourself or not in public.

Question for discussion Pg 125

1) They have a wide range of  products for sale for many different prices. Yes it is in way, it gives the customer more of a selection to choose from. It will extend the value to the customers.

2) With customer ratings and reviews gives you another look from another persons eyes. This could give you an idea of what the product is like bfore you buy it.

3) Yea I believe they could they seem to be well organized and if they was able to open a store they would have to keep this.

4) With build-to-order gives the buyera chance to get just want they want. With the seller is makes it easier cause then he doesn't have to worry about them getting something they don't like.

5) Because it makes it easier to for a person to plan their trip before they go. They don't have to go to someone else to plan their trip. They offer this because it woul bring more people to site if they know they can get something for free.

6) With online stock trading it is harder to keep in contact with the traders and it's harder to challenge other traders.

7) With websites like these it could lead to no need for the "middleman" cause the person taking the trip could take care of it all themselves.

8)It makes it easier for the customer to get the product faster and right away. But sometimes digital downloads can get messed up or not download right.

Google History Review

In the early '90's their was two young adult students at Standford University. That would eventually become very successful by creating the most popular search engine. This was a timely process was well worth it for them.

This is proof to me that no matter how young you are you can do what ever you want to as long as you put your mind to it. These two young guys start out going to college to get their PHD but once they got "bit" by the computer bug it stuck with them.

Through all the rough trials the company still is working hard to succeed.

The day that Google bought YouTube I think that it was an awesome decision this expanded their business by a lot. Once they joined the cellphone business even as risky business was another great move but they have the biggest competitor that will give them the biggest challenges. Then they also got the attention of the biggest opperating soft ware, Microsoft. They counter acted the Googles search engine by releasing the Bing search engine.

The biggest challege for Google wasn't the battle to be the best but when the Sergey annouced that he Parkinsons disease. But he is working hard to help find a cure by using computers. He has given billions of dollars to Parkinsons research.

This company is not just a search engine giant but is caring compasionate  company that is always working for the consumer.

The Good, The bad and The Dangerous

This blog is titled The Good, The Bad and The Dangerous because I will be going into detail all the good points of Craig's list, the bad points of Craig list and the dangerous points of this e-commerce area.

Some of the good points of Craig list is that it's like a giant yard sale for people all over the country. People have the option to look in other parts of the country for things they might want instead of being stuck in just the area where they live. Craig list gives the seller the chance to sell their things in a wide range instead of a small area increasing the chance of a sale. Craig list isn't just for selling things there is also areas for job searching, business advertising, resume posting, and personal ads. Craigs list offers a great variety of stuff to use the best part it's all free. Anyone from shoppers to businesses can use Craigs list. The website doesn't restrict who uses.

Some of the bad points of Craigs list is that it's not face to face interaction so people can say one thing and do another. Such as if some says they would like to meet to look at what you're selling and they never show. then you've wasted your time waiting on the person. So there's no legal proof that the deal will happen. You're trying to work on this site by word of mouth and trusting what people say.

Other bad points are that if people post something about their service or product the information that the provide could be false. So if you meet with the person and the service isn't what you thought it would be or the product isn't what they described then you wasted your time. so you have no actual proof saying that it is what it says it is.

Now to the most important part of this blog the dangerous point of Craigs list. Craigs list is useful in many ways and can be helpful to find jobs or your soul mate but there are major dangers of this site. There are many places on this site that have dangers around every corner. The most dangerous section would be the personal area. People will post things in this area and then meet up with replies but then do the unthinkable they wind up killing them. I'm not saying this happens all the time but this is a very dangerous place to try and meet people. Other dangers include the sale of things if you set up a meeting to sale something with someone the chances of them getting there robbing you and getting away are high. Do to the fact that there is no way to trace anyone that you maybe emailing there is little to no chance of the police finding the people responsible. And if you are going to be buying something of great value there's even a greater Chance of someone robbing then because the "seller" knows how much you're bringing to do the transaction so the know how much money you have, with them knowing this it gives them the inspiration to pull off the robbery.

The main point  I would like to get across is Craigs list is a great place to shop. But take precautions when doing so. Know the dangers and be aware of the area that you're in. Use Craigs list for what it is there for and don't abuse it.
